Why is my new cat having diarrhea?

I just got 2 new cats yesterday, and they’re our first cats after 7 years. Both of them are 6 months old. One cat is fine, but the other is having diarrhea. Is it because of a new home? is it a new Cat Food that caused it?

Please. do not give them any cow’s milk. doesn’t matter if it’s whole, 1%, 2% etc…their digestive systems do not process it well and it WILL upset their stomachs and give them diarrhea. You need to monitor how much diarrhea b/c this can lead to dehydration. Keep plenty of water around for them. If it persists, I would take them to a vet. They need a vet check-up anyway. They need to be tested for FIV/FeLv, worms, FIP(feline infectious peritonitis). All of these horrible diseases can present itself with diarrhea. Google FIV and FIP(deadly-highly contagious with no cure). Doubtful that stress would do it, possibly new cat food, but doubt that as well. Take your babies to the vet for a thorough exam and blood work.
