Is it appropriate to give a kitten that’s only a few weeks old catnip?

I was wondering if cats should be a certain age before you give it catnip. Can it harm a young kitten thats only a few weeks old. My mom tried putting catnip scratch pad, but it didn’t work out becouse the older kitten was slapping the young kitten with her paws. I guess catnip does wierd things to cats and kittens. Good think she didn’t have claws though. Should I seperate the two cats in seperate rooms so they don’t fight over it and give them their own catnip. I think catnip is the ulimate cat toy ever becouse they love it and they get high off of it.

Cat nip will not harm your kitty. Catnip affects different cats in different ways, but it is not harmful to them. Chances are that a kitten would not have much reaction to catnip as it is not mature enough yet to have the sensors in its brain be developed enough to be reactive to the catnip.
